Salsa, Ballroom, Samba, Hustle, Swing & more Dance-&-Learn Party & Tango milonga plus Wash Post & Voice Of America TV taping & photo shoots


Dance-&-Learn Parties from 7pm - 11:30pm. The Tango classes take place at 9pm and beg/intermed Tango milonga continue in the 2nd studio until at least 11:30pm while Ballroom, Latin & Swing dancing & mini-classes take place in studio A.

The Sat., Feb 23rd Dance-&-Learn Party will include the Washington Post and Voice Of America TV for photos and taping for their upcoming publications. Included this week are planned performances by: (1) "The Dancing Kids' Network", (2) Brazilian Samba with local "Brazilian Dance Expert & Samba Diva", Danielle Areco, (3) International Latin performances by a new and INCREDIBLY TALENTED amateur partnership, Sergey Vasilyev, Russia, and Lemery Rollins, Maryland, (4) Mini-classes in social Ballroom & Latin, Salsa & Rueda, Swing, Tango and more plus mini-dance competitions of (5) "So You Think You Can Dance DC", "Dancing with the DC Stars", DC DANCE WARS and (6) a taping of learning "Michael Jackson's Thriller" for Voice Of America TV. So join us Out On The Dance Floor!

Plus Terry's infamous hot apple pie with ice cream and plenty of snacks and refreshments, mini-dance classes throughout the night. You'll learn the basics of more dances in one night than you ever thought possible!

Format for the Chevy Chase Ballroom non-holiday dance parties:

7:00pm Beg mini-classes and dancing in the Ballroom, Latin & Swing dances followed by Ballroom, Latin, Salsa & Swing dance music with teacher assistance until 11:30pm. Plus "Dancing with the DC Stars" mini-dance competitions open to everyone (winners are chosen by audience applause, so invite your most loud and obnoxious friends)

9pm Beg and intermed Argentine Tango mini-classes in 2nd studio taught by Terry Chasteen (beg) and a 2nd teacher (intermed) & an Argentine Tango beg/intermed milonga with teacher assistance from 9:30pm.

NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE OR PARTNER NECESSARY TO ATTEND
