Designer, Singer and Director from Dakar. Senegal has over 25 years
of professional experience, Aliou spent many years studying under his
elders in the bush areas of Senegal. Aliou's hands have the touch of
our Ancient Ancestor's. The rhythms his hands produce will warm your
spirit and heal your mind, body and soul.

Workshop:
Late registration will be held at 5:30 pm the days of the workshop.

Aliou Diouf is a Master Drummer, Dancer, Choreographer, Composer, Costume Designer, Singer and Director from Dakar. Senegal. Specializes in the Djembe, Dundun, Sabar, Sorruba, Bougaougou and Tama. He performs and teaches dances and rhythms from the Wolof, Serer, Djola, Babata, Mandinko, Bambara and many other tribes of West
Africa. Aliou Diouf's first journey to America was on tour with "United African Ballet" and "The Ballet D'Afrique Noir". Aliou tours year around performing and teaching at universities, college, museums local and national schools K-12 grade across the USA. He is the Artist Director and Owner of "Ballet Sangamar". Aliou will teach traditional rhythms and dance movements/forms along with brief history and culture. Teaching drum hand techniques, breaks, complements, solo activities.
