Welcome, Washington DC Fans of 'Thriller'!

The loss of this genius of music and dance is a devastating blow to so many of us who have literally grown up enjoying his talents. Whether it was his music or his dancing, Michael Jackson has always been light years ahead of the pack. I for one was planning to attend as many of his eventual touring concerts in the US that were physically possible. The fact that they will now not ever take place is heart-wrenching. This Meetup is a tribute to just one of his many ingenious creations.
When "Michael Jackon's Thriller" arrived onto the music scene back in Nov of 1982, most who first saw it thought it to be highly entertaining at the very least, while others developed an instant passion for this incredible one-of-a-kind and years-ahead-of-it's-time dance and music phenomenon.....and then there were those of us who were at that time and who always will be nothing less than OBSESSED! by this incomparable work of musical art.
The Washington DC "Michael Jackson's Thriller" Dance Meetup involves learning and ultimately dancing every detail of this icon of music and choreography.
You're invited to attend any of our weekly Sunday dance events (also including Salsa & Rueda, Ballroom & Swing, Brazilian Samba and Argentine Tango) or monthly scheduled Dance-&-Learn Parties where learning a new segment of "Michael Jackson's Thriller" is ALWAYS an option. We'll be experts by Halloween!....and then, who knows? We may even be asked to perform it during some of the October Halloween parties and dances and on YouTube or TV (for your 15 minutes of fame if the news channels happen to be present!). Or at least we'll all have it on DVD to show the grandchildren someday!
