South Side Film Festival

Dance styles from around the world will be featured Tuesday, June 19 thru Saturday, June 23 at the 2007 SouthSide Film Festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with a cultural focus on South America!
Besides numerous films about different dance styles, such as samba ("Noel, the Samba Poet") and mambo ("From Mambo to Hip Hop"), the South Side Film Festival will conduct dance classes in Argentine Tango, Peruvian Huayno Pandillero, Peruvian Tondero, Samba and Salsa. Also, there will be "Dance in Film" seminars and screening blocks.
The festival offers a $35 Dance Card that gains access to select screenings, workshops, seminars and the closing night party! The closing night party runs form 8 p.m. - 1 a.m., Saturday, June 23 at the Portuguese-American Club, 337 Broadhead Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18015.
Bring your dancing shoes because there will be live music, a very hot DJ and many forms of dance, including salsa, merengue and tango. Authentic Brazilian food is included in the door fee and there is a cash bar.
