About The Edmonton Salsa Babies Group

Salsa Babies is a dance fitness franchise based out of Toronto with licensed regions all over Canada. In Salsa Babies, moms wear their baby in a carrier and learn different Latin dance style combinations as a way to get fit, lose weight, and have fun. But it is also so much more then that. Classes offer new moms with a support network, a way to meet other moms going through the same experiences, time to bond with your baby while doing something for yourself, and a way to reconnect to your inner Mamacita! Salsa Tots is a dance fitness class for parents and their children aged 1-5 ( although babies are welcome in the class too). In this class we promote being physically active through dance and movement. The class has a latin theme with fun songs, dances, and stories. I try to educate the parenta about early childhood movement devlopment as well as maintaining an active life style. The class is a great way to have fun with your kids while getting in shape! There is no shortage of energy or laughter in this class!

I created this group with the hopes it would allow the hundred of participants who have taken or are currently taking the class a way to connect outside the classroom in order to keep those relationships developing. This group will also be updated on new classes that come out, the newest happenings with Salsa Babies Inc, and other fun family activities going on in Edmonton. If you have not taken a class but would still like to join to meet other families that share your interest in being active this is fine! I would just encourage you to come out for a free class and see what the buzz is all about!
