Dance Lovers of Central New York Meetup Group

This meetup group is for dancers from the Syracuse, NY, area, and beyond, to meet other dancers, network with each other, and find common venues to go out dancing together. Nobody likes going to a dance venue without knowing someone familiar who also plans to be there, and, who one can hopefully dance with. This group hopes to facilitate online networking, and individual planning, for attending dance related events. This meetup group is sponsored by Dance Lovers of Central New York, a not-for-profit organization. You need not be a "member" of the organization, to join. This group is open to all dancers, beginners to advanced, to join. This group lists social dance events most people can dance at, including, but not limited to, Swing, Latin (including Salsa), Ballroom, and Country/Western dancing. Dance events listed herein may be associated with area festivals, live band venues, or venues featuring prerecorded music played by a disc jockey. This group is run by dancers, for dancers. Welcome!

Here, almost everyone asks everyone else to dance. Attendees are of all age ranges. The music is diverse, and is a great place to get your West Coast Swing groove on! Besides Swing, which includes West and East Coast, Lindy, and Hustle, all of which are regularly played, they also offer the occasional Fox Trot, Night Club 2 Step, Country 2 Step, and Cha Cha.
