I am forming a group to learn Rueda ("Wheel") or Salsa Casino dancing. This is a high energy, very exciting form of Salsa where several couples form a circle and dance steps called out by a leader, changing partners periodically according to the call. The moves have great Latin names like Enchufla, Dilequeno, Coca Cola (oops - that one isn't a Latin name!) Sombrero Doble, etc. I am a dance teacher and will teach this group for free (except $1 per person to cover Meetup organizer costs) because I'd really love to see Rueda dancing take off here in Denver. We will all learn together at my home in SE Denver with the ultimate goal of gathering monthly at the Turnverein or La Rhumba to pracitice and popularize the dance.

"Hi Jim - just read your note about wanting someone to help you catch up - the only person who could help you would be another lead and right now we're a tad short on those - but if one of the other leads offers to help out I'll have them contact you (I'm assuming they can using the site) - if you're a quick study you shouldn't have any problems - the first night it will be very simple stuff. Take care, Pat"

"Hello, my name is Sue. My 2 passions (other than my 2 kids), are dancing and hiking. Am very happy to join this club, though for the warmer months, will probably do more hiking and less dancing. In winter, I dance often - the faster, the better!"
-
"This is the place to continue the conversation between monthly Meetups. Get to know your local Meetup community, ask questions, answer questions, talk about your last get-together--it's up to you. We..."
