New Salsa Workshop Starting September 5th 2008

Hello New Salsa Dancers:

First we'd like to thank those of you who came out to our fourth session on Thursday, July 10th; it was great having all of you there. It was nice to see many of you decided to continue on with your lessons, and the positive feedback that we have been receiving is greatly appreciated. To those of you who were unable to attend last week?s class, we hope to see you in the classes again soon.

Because of the overwhelming response the first week of class, we have a much larger room available to us with plenty of space to accommodate all who wish to participate.

In addition to the larger room, we have also created a new class for those who wish to move on to the next level. The Workshop will be held on Fridays from 8:40pm- 9:40pm and it will run for four weeks at the Beginner II level. To qualify to take part in this four week workshop all students must know their basic step and you must pre-register.

This workshop is set to begin on Friday September 5th and run all the way through Friday September 26th. The fee for this four week workshop is $65 per person which must be submitted no later than Thursday August 14th 2008. We are currently only taking in the first 15 ladies and the first 15 gentlemen that apply so please reserve your spot ASAP as we are conducting this workshop on a first come first serve basis. This course is designed to take you to the next level where you will learn more shines(open floor work) and new turn patterns which will be combined with the patterns you learned in the beginner I course. If you want to take your dancing to another level, this is the course for you!

Effective immediately, for the months of July and August we are dropping the second class due to low attendance. Starting in September we are also changing the day classes will be taking place from Thursdays to Fridays.

For those who do not wish to take part in the Beginner II Workshop, there will still be an open Basic Beginner class held from 7:30pm to 8:30pm for the months of July and August and from 7:40pm to 8:40pm starting in September. I've marked my calendar for the 4 Fridays in September. This will be a great way to start the weekend on the "right foot". Salsa class on Friday night followed by Salsa dancing at Cortina on Saturday night !
