We meet every Wednesday at the Britannia Arms Pub, 1087 S De Anza Blvd, San Jose from 8:00 to 10:30 PM for set dancing to live Irish music.
Set dancing is fun and easy to learn; this is not the performance style dancing you may have seen on "Riverdance." It is a social form of folk dancing that is very beginner friendly, but is also engaging enough to appeal to experienced dancers.
So whether you are an experienced dancer looking to try something new, or an absolute beginner who wants to give dancing a try, stop by Britannia Arms on a Wednesday and check out the scene. The dances are taught by well-known instructor Michael Murphy, whose teaching is welcoming, inclusive and entertaining.
No partner is required, you will find one there!
We recommend low heeled comfortable shoes.

It may look complicated if you have never done it before, but the moves and patterns become easy to do with a bit of instruction.
This event is free with a suggested donation of $5.00 to help out the musicians.
