The Chicago Dance Meetup Group is for those who love to dance.  Sponsored by Chicago Dance and organized by its students, we hope to organize opportunities to put what we've learned into practice. The purpose of this group is to help promote belly dancing and belly dancers in the Greater Chicagoland area. This provides a cohesive effort to let other bellydancers know of great workshops in the area, dance benefits, dance performances, and cool cultural events that may benefit for the greater good and interest of this dance and the cultures of the countries from whence it comes.

The best way to learn and enjoy Salsa and other types of Latin dancing is in a group. This Meetup group is designed to bring together a friendly and encouraging group that wishes to learn Salsa, improve their Salsa dancing or to meet with other Salsa dancers for regularly scheduled events. Everyone is welcomed to join this group to find practice partners and other companions for fantastic evenings of Salsa dancing!

This group will promote ballroom dancing and great dance venues. The site will also include Latin (including Salsa), Argentine Tango, and Swing. The Chicagoland area has a lot of great dancers but few really good places for dancing. This group will also provide a forum for dancers of all levels, beginner through professional, to connect and learn about great places to show off their talents and dance or practice.

Let's learn and practice ballroom dancing! Latin, Tango, Swing, whatever the group is interested in. We can find an instructor or one of us can lead the class. Afterwards we can practice.
